In its journey in India, Volvo has been committed in creating shared value in the
environment it operates in – right from the day one. Today, there are 60,000 drivers trained at
the Volvo Driver Training Centre; 10,000 operators trained at the Volvo Construction
Equipment training Centre. Volvo has partnered with a leading university in India to establish
RASTA - a center for Road Technology and Infrastructure & Construction Management, offering
offers post graduate and PhD programs in related areas, as well as bridging the knowledge gap
between academic learning and industry.
