After an 11-year corporate like Reliance Fresh, ITC and Walmart, I could not tolerate the fact that while people around me were succumbing to various types of cancers (and other stomach ailments), I was enjoying a cushy corporate career. In 2011, I embarked on a journey to convert the rooftops of "concrete jungles" into lush green organic farms. Just when I had loose change left in my pocket, angels swooped-in and helped me lay the foundations of India's first for-profit Rooftop Farming Company called Living Greens, in March 2013. Today, Living Greens has transformed into a Green Building company which offers 2 unique products to its clients - Portable Rooftop Farming Systems (for growing fresh organic veg on rooftops) and Living Green Walls (for covering exposed walls with lush green plants). Although its been 3.5 years but it still seems that the journey has just begun because there are millions of rooftops to be covered with organic farms and thousands of square feet of exposed walls to be covered with lush green plants. We are all excited like little kids going on a picnic!
