Mr. P. Ganesh is the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Godrej Industries. He is also responsible for the Finance Centre of Excellence across Godrej Industries and Associate Companies and for supporting nascent businesses within Godrej Industries, Additionally, he is also responsible for Investor relations.
Ganesh is a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant and Company Secretary. He has over two decades of industry experience largely in FMCG industry during which time he has played various roles in the areas of finance, company law, corporate planning and investor relations. He has been associated with the demerger of the erstwhile Godrej Soaps Limited, the implementation of the EVA framework in Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL) and has played a key role in GCPL's overseas acquisitions in Asia, Latin America and Africa. His first leadership role came with an overseas stint when he took over as the Head of Finance and Company Secretary of GCPL's UK business in 2005. As GCPL's CFO and Company Secretary, he has been closely associated with diligence, valuation and setting up of reporting systems and controls at the company's acquisitions in Asia, Latin America and Africa and has been instrumental in capital raising through low cost overseas borrowings, structured products, QIP and Preferential issue placements.
Ganesh is a two-time winner of the Business Today 'Best CFO' award . He is also a member of the Academic Advisory Committee, Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), Noida and is a guest speaker at various corporate events and academic forums.
