Chartered Chemical Engineer, with over 35 years of career, spanning right from oil & gas to biofuel, including refining, petrochemicals and polymers. Currently, working in break-through R&D of Reliance Industries group, as Head of Biofuel Downstream Technology Development, CO2 Management and Process Engineering. Professional experience of over 11 years in Reliance includes successful development of biomass conversion process, system engineering, debottlenecking of process plants and utilities, technical audit and process economics. Building winning teams has been a great experience. Teams have won many Reliance Technology Group Awards - Best Service Awards, Best Project Team Award and Game Changer Technology Award.
Prior to Reliance, experience of over 24 years with companies such as Shell/NOCIL, Unilever, Kvaerner Powergas, PDO/Electrowatt Oman, Thermax, has been very enriching. Unique and rich experience of working with EPC as well as operating companies, both national and multinational, has helped in successful completion of many mission driven projects. Functional experience includes all phases of engineering, right from concept to commissioning, technology development, plant operation, business development, and R&D. As a co-inventor, over 30 patents have been filed in the areas of biomass conversion, CO2 capture, and process design. It has been honour to be invited as speaker and author for international conferences and publications.
