Mr. Shekar Viswanathan is a BA Economics graduate & a Chartered
Accountant.
He began his career in 1981 with Unit Trust of India and then moved to Chase Manhattan Bank, later to Lazard Brothers until 1995.
During 1995 – 1998, Mr. Viswanathan was associated with Haldia Petrochemicals Limited - A USD 2 billion Petrochemical Enterprise, as a General Manager – Finance.
In 1998, he joined the Toyota Kirloskar Group, as a member of the Board of Directors. Presently, Mr. Shekar Viswanathan holds the position of Vice Chairman & Whole-time Director in Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd.
He is also a Director of Kirloskar Systems Ltd since 1995 & an Independent Director in ASM Technolgies Ltd since 2011.
He is a member of various industrial associations such as CII, FICCI, etc & Chairman of Taxation Committee in SIAM.
Born in Madurai, India, in 1956, Mr. Shekar Viswanathan’s enjoys playing Golf.
He is married to Ms. Radha and have a son & daughter. |
