A Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from IIT, Madras in 1980 and MBA at Xavier. He is a Gold Medalist in Finance / HR fields
He is currently the Director (Operations) of Brakes India Limited, Foundry Division whom he has served for the last 31 years in various facets of the organization in the Technical function, New Products, Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing.
He has spearheaded the TQM and TPM journey at Brakes India. Brakes India Foundry started the TQM journey in 1998 and got the Deming Prize in 2003. Brakes India Foundry also started the TPM Journey in 1999 and got the TPM Excellence award in 2003, Consistency Award in 2006 and Special Award in 2007.
He has been primarily responsible in implementing TQM practices in BIF. He has also coordinated the TPM activities and has been the pillar chairman for Quality. |
