I am an Electronics Engineer from BIT Mesra with a MBA in International Business from IIFT Delhi. I started my career 24 years back with Tata Steel and have worked in different functions, starting with Engineering & Projects, about a decade in Exports & Trading, 3 years heading the overall Marketing and Sales of the company's Wires Business and now Heading Corporate Sustainability since 2012 January. My stint also included staying in Shanghai, China for 5 years.
As the Chief Corporate Sustainability, I am pushing for changes in the systems and process of the company, to mainstream Sustainability in the business processes, which includes looking at Triple bottomline impacts of any projects or initiatives including Cost management. While I am happy that we have made reasonable progress, the journey is long and far from accomplished. |
