Over 3 decades plus experience in marketing/product management in the field of lighting with Global players, GEC & Thorn Lighting, UK & Osram Gmbh, Germany with Sr assignments in India.
Was instrumental in assisting overseas consultants for the design & commissioning of T 3 terminal lighting New Delhi, currently ranked number 1 in the world. Involved in the design & completion of Wankhede, Jawaharlal Nehru & few other stadiums in India. Pioneer in the launch of CDM technology under the UNFCCC protocol in Haryana, Maharashtra & Andhra Pradesh for supply of CFL lamps in exchange of ICL’s. The success of the project drew immediate attention of the Govt of India & was later adopted & named Bachat Lamp Yojana (BLY) taken up by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).
Designed a solar support lantern from Osram as part of the Lighting A Billion Lives campaign by TERI & Clinton Foundation. The lantern was launched by the past Hon’ble PM of India Dr.Manmohon Singh.
Prior to his current assignment was associated with Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) as Principal Consultant, lighting & was able to draw Ministry of Power & Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi’s attention for conversion of street lights lit by conventional light sources with LED technology. The program, presently is a national mission to convert 32 million street lights with LED’s & was mentioned in the COP 21 summit in Paris last year, as the largest project undertaken globally in reduction of Green House Gas Emissions.
During his career held positons of Chairman/Co Chairman of committee’s with ASSOCHAM/PHD Chamber of Commerce, FICCI & CII.
Present assignment with LED Roadway Lighting, Halifax, Canada is to support Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi’s campaign ‘ Make in India ‘ with latest technology in LED Street lighting that offers best in class performance/durability & dependability with features that are guaranteed for 20 years.
